8-Sep-2009Great Tournament with a high level of competition.

4 instead of 5 for cost/value - not many tournaments do it now but a 4 game guarantee is nice to have. Have those that do not advance to quarterfinals play each other. However, with the amount of teams in this tournament that may be hard to do.

Parking at Oak Grove Park is TERRIBLE. Ankeney was fine.

Overall, the referees were fine. In one of our games the ref started calling "ticky tack" fouls and set a precedent to keep calling that way. However, in the 2nd half, he pretty much let them get away with anything. He was inconsistent with his handling calls as well. 1st half he was calling if the ball played the player. In the 2nd half, he would not call anything.

Other than those small gripes, the Mead is one of the best tournaments anywhere.
25-Jan-2008Awesome referees and event staff. Worth going to every year for all our teams.
13-Jan-2008Awesome tournament! The people are great, the competition is great. The registration is fantastic!

Great way to start off a fall season.
